Balkan mine excerpt (0:32)

Balkan mine (10:05) is a collection of accounts of victims and their families, alongside a
record of the author’s personal experience. The film allows the spectator to become a part
of the intimate narratives of both the survivors and the artist, whilst the unseeable and
undocumented historical events unfold in the vacant landscapes. The film aims to construct
a bridge between the past and present, referencing the unspoken trauma carried by
survivors from forced labour camps and inherited through the generations.
